New Norfolk Local Basketball runs usually on weeknights from Mondays till Thurdays and sometimes Saturdays are used aswell depending on the age group. Local basketball in New Norfolk is run by Kim and Tegan Rainbird who are also active members of the district basketball association. Ages vary from 4 to 14 with other ages available with interest. District Basketball this competition is much more demanding, but still alot of fun! It is run on Sundays with competition from under 12s to  under 22s and then the open age group classed as men and women. Competition includes teams from hobart, moonah, clarence, glenorchy, dodges ferry and surrounding suberbs. This type of basketball is great for player development and team work.
